Since we had bank holiday weekend in UK I decided why not visit my favorite city and check out some new places. I can not believe it has been more than 5 years since I do not live in Prague. Prague is absolutely perfect fit for long weekend or even for a day if you are in hurry. Not only that Prague is grand city with extraordinary historic and cultural sights, you can also visit plenty trendy clubs, sophisticated wine bars or modern restaurants. Prague’s maze of cobbled lanes and hidden courtyards is a paradise for the aimless wanderer. In this post you won’t probably find typical sightseeing places to visit. I wanna show you other places worth visiting!
First place which is absolutely must see – Hotel u prince
On 4th floor you can find amazing rooftop terrace located in the best possible area – overlooking the Old Town Square, Astronomical Clock, Tyn Church, Prague Castle and the Petrin Hill. I would certainly recommend better places to eat. Here you can enjoy quick drink and take some fantastics pictures. Best time to visit is definitely lunch time as later on it can get extremely crowded.
I have been dreaming about coming here for sooo long. Yes, I am speaking about Soho restaurant & lounge. This place is inspired by the atmosphere of the famous Manhattan district. Very cosmopolitan restaurant where you can find variety of colors, also art district. This upscale restaurant offers not only wonderful variations of sushi , but also other delicious and unusual delicacies from around the world. Location by the river and if you come in summer you can enjoy outdoor pool and chill in romantic summer beds. Service is absolutely amazing, very professional. They did not make fuss about us taking pictures and moving tables and we still got some complimentary sweets in the end. I will definitely visit again soon.
Even thought my Czech friends told me that this place is not IN anymore. I decided I will share it with you guys anyway, because it is my favorite spot for dinner and always will be. I am huge lover of Italian cuisine and there is no better place to go than Marina Grosseto Ristorante. This restaurant is away from the hustle and bustle of Old Town which makes it nice little spot for couples and friends wanting to enjoy lovely food with gorgeous views on the Charles Bridge and Prague Castle. High class service and best place to enjoy nice meal by the river.
And in the end if you love explore new things then give it a go and get traditional Czech pastry called Trdelník ( you can find them all over the old city). It is made from rolled dough that is wrapped around stick ,then grilled and topped with sugar and walnut mix. You can choose your own filling like Nutela or soft cream cheese with fruits. It’s absolutely delicious!
